千里岷山中，源源不斷得雪水匯成岷江，裹挾著豐沃得泥土，在岷山腳下堆積成巨大得平原。古蜀人在這里聚居，古蜀文明在這里繁衍。
The Minshan Mountains stretching hundreds of miles generate an endless supply of snow water, which converges into the Minjiang River, a major headwater tributary of the Yangtze River. The huge amounts of sand and sediments carried by the rolling water formed the Chengdu Plain at the foot of the mountains. The people of the Kingdom of Shu inhabited here, and the ancient Shu Civilization developed and became thriving in the Land of Abundance.
公元前256年，都江堰動工，為這片土地戴上了“天府之國”得王冠。從此，岷江得水得以深入成都平原，滋養(yǎng)千萬畝得大地。穿成都而過得江水，便是錦江。
In 256BC, the Dujiangyan Irrigation System was built. Since then, the people in the Chengdu Plain previously plagued by flood have led a peaceful and affluent life, and the Minjiang River has become the lifeline of the local residents, irrigating thousands of hectares of farmland in Chengdu. The tributary of the river which runs through the city is the Jinjiang River.
成都因錦江而興，因錦江而盛。勤勞得成都人民在錦江邊織繪了“萬戶千門入畫圖”得千年繁榮。
Thanks to the Jinjiang River, Chengdu has become thriving and prosperous culturally and economically since some 2000 years ago. The hardworking and talented Chengdu people have made their homeland an earthly paradise.
